NIC Peshawar Advances Startup Investment Ecosystem

NIC Peshawar brought together investors, founders and ecosystem stakeholders in June 2026 with the successful hosting of Invest Lab 3.0 and the KP Investor Summit 2026, two initiatives aimed at strengthening the startup investment ecosystem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The three-day Invest Lab 3.0 served as an investor education program led by national and international experts. Participants explored the fundamentals of startup investing, including due diligence, risk assessment, portfolio planning and practical investment decision-making, helping build a more informed local investor base.

Project Director NIC Peshawar, Mr. Asim Ishaq Khan, said a thriving startup environment needs not only ambitious founders but also investors who understand how early-stage businesses grow and scale. He said Invest Lab is designed to strengthen local investment capacity and open better pathways for startups to access support, networks and resources.

Building on that momentum, the KP Investor Summit 2026 created a space for startups and investors to connect directly. The summit facilitated networking, collaboration and investment engagement, bringing together participants from a wide range of organizations and industry partners active in the region’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Representatives from Ignite, The Asia Foundation, KPEZDMC, SAIF Group, Jazz, Climaventures, Seedrise Fund, KP Startup Fund, Pakistan Startup Fund, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Evamp & Saanga, KP Board of Investment and Trade and other partners attended the event, underscoring the growing interest in expanding startup opportunities across KP.

A major attraction was the startup showcase, where seven ventures from sectors such as education technology, sustainability and defense technology presented their products, ideas and growth plans to investors and business leaders. The presentations highlighted the diversity of innovation emerging from the province and the potential for stronger capital support.

The event concluded with remarks from Mr. Muzaffar Uddin of The Asia Foundation, who stressed the importance of continued collaboration among investors, founders and ecosystem partners to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of the region.

Through startup investment ecosystem initiatives like Invest Lab 3.0 and the KP Investor Summit 2026, NIC Peshawar is helping deepen investor engagement, mobilize capital and support the next wave of innovative startups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
