Ambassador Han visits Islamabad Museum Heritage sites
On June 18, Ambassador Han Sungho visited the Islamabad Museum and toured two major additions linked to the Korea Heritage Agency’s ODA project, the Gandhara Cultural Heritage Center and the Digital Immersive Gallery.
The visit highlighted growing cultural cooperation between Pakistan and South Korea, with the Islamabad Museum serving as a key space for showcasing heritage, history and modern digital presentation. The Gandhara Cultural Heritage Center reflects the region’s rich artistic legacy, while the Digital Immersive Gallery adds a contemporary layer to the visitor experience through technology-based engagement.
Developed under the Korea Heritage Agency’s ODA support, the project aims to strengthen heritage awareness and present Pakistan’s cultural assets in a more accessible and interactive way. The visit underscored the importance of preserving historical identity while also using digital tools to connect with wider audiences.
With the Islamabad Museum continuing to expand its cultural offerings, the new facilities are expected to draw greater attention to Gandhara heritage and support educational as well as tourism-related interest in the capital.
