November 17, 2025 saw the 2nd NBS Research Colloquium at NUST Business School in Islamabad, where Dr Shahzad Hussain, Head of the Department of Business Administration at Rawalpindi Women University, was invited as the keynote speaker.
Dr Shahzad examined how FinTech credit and BigTech lending are reshaping pathways toward sustainable development, highlighting emerging trends, opportunities and research directions across the digital finance landscape.
His address emphasised the research priorities required to harness FinTech credit and related digital finance innovations for inclusive growth, and pointed to areas where academia and industry can collaborate to inform policy and practice in Pakistan.
The invitation recognised Dr Shahzad’s scholarly contributions and reflected Rawalpindi Women University’s growing impact in national research dialogues, reinforcing the role of Pakistani universities in shaping conversations on digital finance and sustainable development.
