Pakistan and Saudi Finalize Hajj 2026 Arrangements

On 9 November 2025 in Jeddah, a formal agreement on arrangements for Hajj 2026 was signed by Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Sulaiman Al-Mashat and Pakistan’s Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs Dr. Syed Atta ur Rehman.

The signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Director General Hajj Jeddah Abdulwahab Somro, Director Hajj Makkah Azizullah Khan, Director Hajj Madinah Ziaur Rehman, Deputy Secretary Hajj Policy Chaudhry Kashif Hussain and senior representatives of HOAP, the body representing private Hajj operators.

Federal Secretary Dr. Syed Atta ur Rehman expressed gratitude for the Saudi government’s hospitality and the facilities arranged for pilgrims, saying Pakistani worshippers will be provided high-standard services similar to last year. He emphasised continued coordination to ensure smooth execution of the agreed measures for Hajj 2026.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs reiterated its commitment to complete arrangements for both government and private Hajj schemes in a timely and effective manner, following Saudi guidance to safeguard pilgrim welfare and service standards.
