Grand Democratic Alliance Files Nomination Papers for Bannu Bar Elections

Bannu: In connection with the annual elections of the District Bar Association Bannu, the unanimous candidates of the Grand Democratic Alliance have submitted their nomination papers. According to details, the agreed candidates of the Grand Democratic Alliance submitted their nomination papers to Election Commissioner Najam-ul-Saqib for the upcoming elections.
On this occasion, the panel of the Grand Democratic Alliance submitted nominations for various seats: Akbar Ullah Advocate for President, Alamgir Khan Advocate for General Secretary, Aman Ullah Khan for Vice President, Asif Ullah Shah for Finance Secretary, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Advocate for Joint Secretary, and Waseem Manzoor Shah for the seat of Librarian. A large number of lawyers were also present at the occasion and announced their support for the candidates.
During the submission of the nomination papers, leaders of the Grand Democratic Alliance including Javed Hayat Khan Advocate, former President Noor Zada Ahmadzai Advocate, Inam Ullah Niazi Advocate, Ibrahim Advocate, Mujahid Khan Mandan Advocate, Asim Khan Advocate, and several other prominent lawyers were also present.
Speaking to the media, they stated that the current District Bar Bannu President Akbar Ullah Advocate and his cabinet have accomplished unprecedented work for the lawyers’ community within a single year, the like of which cannot be found in previous tenures. They added that lawyers have also been included in the Ramadan relief package.
They further said that significant initiatives have been undertaken for the welfare of lawyers, including the allocation of Rs. 350 million for the construction of 400 modern lawyers’ chambers, approval of a historic grant of Rs. 10 million for lawyers, settlement of outstanding Benevolent Fund dues, introduction of life and health insurance, launch of a paid internship program for junior lawyers, and organization of professional training workshops. These projects are nearing completion.
They remarked that such achievements can rarely be found in the pages of history and credited the efforts of the current District Bar Bannu President Akbar Ullah Advocate and his cabinet. The provision of new tables and chairs for lawyers at the District Bar Bannu was also cited as a clear example of their excellent performance.
They further stated that they are participating in the elections in a united manner to uphold the dignity of the bar, protect the rights of lawyers, and resolve the professional issues faced by the legal community. They expressed hope that the lawyers’ community will place its trust in them and ensure their success so that the District Bar Association Bannu can be made even more active and stronger.
Meanwhile, activities within the lawyers’ community regarding the bar elections have intensified, and various groups have started contact campaigns in support of their respective candidates.
