Engaging Probationers at Population House Punjab

Probationary officers from the Civil Services Academy visited Population House Punjab as part of their field activities to gain first-hand insight into provincial population management. The visit provided the officers with a practical perspective on how administrative training links with on-the-ground policy implementation at Population House Punjab.

Capt (R) Aurangzaib Haider Khan, Director General Population Welfare, Health and Population Department Punjab, briefed the probationers on prevailing population challenges and the suite of policy measures currently under way. The DG outlined priorities for service delivery and explained how departmental coordination is being used to translate policy into actionable programmes.

The delegation was introduced to the role of evidence-based planning in shaping interventions and the improvements being pursued in service delivery. Discussions emphasised the importance of data-driven decision making and coordinated efforts across departments to address demographic trends affecting the province.

The probationers also toured the PMU, DG-PW, PPIF, and PWTI floors within Population House, where they asked detailed questions about the functioning of each office and the services they provide. The visit served as a hands-on component of their field activities, reinforcing how institutions at Population House Punjab contribute to Punjab’s wider population strategy.
