Accelerating AI Leaders Fellowship Pakistan

Karachi, November 19, 2025 — The AI Leaders Fellowship launched in Karachi with support from the Ministry of IT & Telecom through the Pakistan Software Export Board, bringing together Google Cloud, SAP and TallyMarks Consulting to strengthen Pakistan’s enterprise readiness for artificial intelligence.

The AI Leaders Fellowship will work with 100 leading Pakistani organisations to help them adopt and operationalise AI through a structured, multi‑modal learning programme. Participants will receive expert-led masterclasses on agentic and ethical AI, one-to-one consultations, knowledge transfer sessions, and access to specialised e-learning labs and sandboxes to trial production-focused use cases.

Participating enterprises gain complimentary access to Google Cloud’s Skills platform, hands-on exposure to new AI tools and releases, technical mentorship, and cross-industry peer engagement. Selected organisations may receive visibility through case studies and, where projects qualify, technical partnerships to develop proofs of concept with One Google advisory support.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, highlighted the role of international collaboration in building national capability: “Pakistan’s journey toward a digitally empowered future depends on building the skills, partnerships, and institutional capacity needed to adopt emerging technologies responsibly. Guided by the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Digital Nation Pakistan,’ the AI Leaders Fellowship Pakistan brings world-class expertise to our local ecosystem.” The minister emphasised the programme’s alignment with the government’s digital transformation goals.

Farhan Qureshi, Google Pakistan’s Country Director, said the Fellowship represents a deepening of Google Cloud’s investment in Pakistan and a way to empower businesses with the knowledge and skills required for an AI-powered economy. “We are incredibly excited to see the impact the Fellowship will have,” he added, stressing the potential for tangible community and national benefits.

Fahad Zahid, Interim Country Manager of SAP Pakistan, who moderated the kick-off panel, described the collaboration as a pivotal step for enterprises to modernise core systems and embed intelligence into processes. The Fellowship’s initial masterclasses from SAP, Google Cloud and Google Developer Experts set the stage for a multi-month engagement where companies will work closely with international experts to explore responsible AI development aligned with operational needs.

With government backing and a mix of global and local partners, the AI Leaders Fellowship positions Pakistani enterprises to translate data into sustainable business impact while contributing to the Ministry of IT’s vision of a Digital Nation Pakistan.
