NBP Marks 78th Independence Day with Deaf Reach Children

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a spirited event at its headquarters, emphasizing unity, inclusion, and national pride. The observance brought together NBP leadership, employees, and their families for a day of festivities that paid tribute to the country’s founding values and the sacrifices made by its forebearers.

A highlight of the celebration was the participation of children from the Deaf Reach School, who performed the national anthem in sign language. Their contribution gave the ceremony a unique and touching dimension, serving as a reminder that patriotism transcends words and can be expressed in diverse ways by every member of society.

The event included the hoisting of the national flag, the singing of the anthem, and a cake-cutting ceremony, all designed to instill a sense of unity and belonging among attendees.

NBP President Rehmat Ali Hasnie addressed the gathering, stating that Independence Day is a moment to honor the resilience, courage, and determination of the nation’s people. He reiterated the bank’s pride in Pakistan’s achievements and reaffirmed NBP’s commitment to supporting the country’s economic and social progress. Hasnie emphasized the importance of reflecting on the sacrifices of those who fought for independence and pledged to uphold the principles on which the country was founded.

Highlighting NBP’s ongoing role in national development, Hasnie said the bank is dedicated to expanding access to financial services, nurturing entrepreneurship, and encouraging sustainable growth, with the goal of building a more prosperous and stable Pakistan for future generations.

As Pakistan’s Independence Day was observed nationwide, NBP used the occasion to stress the shared responsibility of all citizens to create a better future. The bank renewed its pledge to actively contribute to the nation’s growth, prosperity, and unity.
