Consul General Attends Luncheon Honoring Ministers

The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, participated in a community luncheon organized by Pakistani Americans to honor Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce, Investment, and Skills, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain. The event highlighted the crucial role of the overseas Pakistani community in supporting the country’s progress and fostering bilateral ties.
The luncheon was attended by a large and diverse group of Pakistani Americans from various professional backgrounds, demonstrating the community’s continued engagement with the development and future of Pakistan. The strong turnout underscored the importance of maintaining close connections between Pakistanis abroad and their country of origin.
During his address, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain emphasized the significance of overseas Pakistanis, referring to them as a “valuable national asset.” He reaffirmed the government’s steadfast commitment to facilitating the needs of Pakistanis living abroad and outlined a number of initiatives and progressive measures designed to support and empower expatriate Pakistanis.
Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain used the occasion to detail Punjab’s investor-friendly policies. He assured attendees that the provincial government is committed to creating a conducive environment for both local and foreign investors. Additionally, he reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring that essential amenities and services are delivered efficiently to citizens across the province.
In his welcoming remarks, Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai extended his appreciation to the visiting ministers and praised the enduring contributions of the overseas Pakistani community. He noted that their efforts not only advance prosperity in Pakistan but also enhance relations and enrich the societies in their countries of residence.
