DEEP and Pakistan Railways Advance Digital Collaboration

The National Information Technology Board (NITB), under its Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP), has held discussions with Pakistan Railways to explore enhanced digital collaboration between government departments. The meeting aimed to integrate citizen-facing services into a single, unified national platform, marking a significant step forward in delivering streamlined and user-friendly public services.
During the session, the DEEP Project Director from NITB outlined the project’s vision of leveraging digital technology to consolidate various government services, making them more accessible to the public. Emphasizing the importance of cross-departmental cooperation, the project director reiterated that this integration is central to transforming how citizens interact with state services.
Representing Pakistan Railways, the Director of IT affirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting the initiative. Pakistan Railways’ participation is expected to play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of the unified platform, particularly given its wide public interface and extensive operations.
This engagement demonstrates DEEP’s core objective of fostering seamless collaboration across government bodies. By advancing these digital transformation efforts, the project intends to deliver smarter, more efficient, and citizen-centric services across Pakistan.
