Anti-Corruption Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Achieves Historic Recovery of Rs. 4.9 Billion, Marking New Era of Accountability

Citizens Urged to Join KP’s Mission for a Corruption-Free Pakistan

Peshawar: In an unprecedented achievement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s history, the provincial Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has recovered a record-breaking Rs. 4,917 million during the fiscal year 2024–25. This milestone marks a 176.8% increase compared to the previous year and sets a new standard for transparency, public accountability, and institutional integrity in Pakistan.

According to officials, this is the first time in the province’s history that recoveries of such magnitude have been secured, demonstrating a major breakthrough in the fight against corruption. Unlike in the past, where investigations often remained limited to paperwork, the ACE’s operational arm has made tangible efforts that have resulted in substantial financial gains for the province.

This success has been hailed as a practical manifestation of the anti-corruption vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) patron-in-chief. His long-standing stance against corruption and for clean governance appears to be taking root through institutional reform and determined implementation in KP.

“This is not merely a recovery figure,” a senior official commented. “It is the restoration of public wealth, the reinforcement of public trust in the system, and a strong message that systemic corruption can be confronted head-on—when intent is honest and governance is resilient.”

The record recovery has also been viewed as a critical step in returning looted resources to the public and building the foundation for a “New Pakistan,” as envisioned by PTI. The ACE’s proactive efforts in reclaiming misappropriated funds have bolstered public confidence in anti-corruption mechanisms and may serve as a model for other provinces.

Citizens have been encouraged to take part in the movement toward a corruption-free Pakistan by reporting corrupt practices and supporting transparency initiatives. With continued political backing and public vigilance, the anti-corruption campaign in KP may become a cornerstone of national institutional reform.
